I still don't have one either and yes envy is peeking. Couldn't have a better home though and may you enjoy afternoon tea with her majesty! |

Dianne Earl, I know just how you feel. I have my Penny Black and Two Penny Blue on the first page of my US classics album, just before my US #1 and #2. Probably would make no sense to most people, but it's MY collection and I can do what I want. What a piece of postal history! Found mine at an auction in Bedford, UK. I was only there to bid on some furniture and spotted an old QV collection with the Penny Black right at the top. I had to have it. I know they really don't command great value since there were bazillions of them printed, but as a "timbremaniac" I just had to have one. |

Well done, Dianne. I still don't have one. I got out bid on the last one I tried to buy. Steve |

Great to have one, isn't it! I can remember my first penny black... I carried it around all day so I could check it was still there.
Now you need to have it plated. It's probably Plate 1B but my eyes are a bit off these days. I'm sure the resident magicians on here can plate it for you. |

Yup I did carry it around and showed it off to everyone, whether they were interested or not. Dianne |

Dianne, now all you need to do is find one with the corner initials of D-E. Finding a Penny Black with you initials is the thing to do among PB Collectors ! |
