Our previous vehicle was a leased van and the contract was up in December. The lease company offered it to us for £10,500 buy-out price at the end of the contract. We declined. Now its on ebay for £13,500...

We're pretty much a VW family. I drive a Passat.
I've posted this stamp before - I'm going to print it on a card for my husband's birthday. If my husband was a stamp - this is the stamp he would be

I am surprised at your local knowledge! Bravo!
Love the VW.
I had not noticed the vegemite sandwich before,
(had one this morning with coffeee)

Not heard of Veg sndwich being a punch.

I note the "thongs" (Australian footwear, we used to call them "japanese safety boots")

Hre is how to Identify an Australian by his footwear....

(The European is on the left)

That's it Phil,
a bit of rust are the "weather lines" on the auto's face,
as long as you keep the running gear maintained
all is safe.
My buckboards are weathered and gnarled and need replacing.
Love driving the old fella.

No pics Phil ? or are you too embarrased

Those VW Kombi vans are worth a lot of money now.

The slang for a punch in this neck of the woods is, a knuckle sandwich.

Like Rod, I have never noticed the slice of bread with Vegemite before. I wouldn't call it a sandwich unless someone slaps another slice of bread on top.

Getting back on topic, the car I had when this topic started I have since sold. My car now is 2005 Mitsubishi Colt 1.5 with CVT trans.
Very nice to drive. I bought the wife a new car and I got her old one. The pic is not mine, just a similar one I found on the net.

They still make a Colt?? I remember when it was a Dodge here in the early 1980's. I do believe it was a re-badged import.
