The 1860 New Brunswick #6, (posted by Bee See and Rileysan) is the first stamp in the world to carry a picture of a train.

and

the NB #10 is the first in the world to carry a ship.

Us NBers have always been trend-setters.

You get partial credit, XNBer .

The New Brunswick stamp is the first stamp issued by a government postal service, but the first stamp issued featuring a train in the US was the 1849-1851 Broadway Post Office in New York, NY (Scott # 26L1 and 26L2).

Here is an image of an oldie but goodie: Express train, engraved and printed by Thomas De La Rue & Co., Ltd, and issued by Newfoundland on January 3, 1928, Scott No. 149, SG No. 168.

Strange looking load... 1963? Was anything war-like going on over there at the time?

Scott's describes it only as a railroad tank car. Goulash?

Hmmm... not the usual "tank car"... note also the 6-wheel trucks... heavy duty for extra heavy/long loads...
