I'm pretty sure the train on the 7c is the TurboTrain from United Aircraft...it was used in Canada and the U.S. for a number of years.

Not really fair to the Norwegian stamps placing them right next to the Mocambique one. It really shows how much better the "old" stamps looked compares to the modern ones.

Forgive me if I'm repeating, as I've not been through this thread. I'd like to show a favorite, not because it is great, but because it is such a step up from Denmark's usual stamps.

That's a lovely stamp, and a knockout train Butterfly,
It is a genuine Belgian Railway parcel stamp,
probably "back of book" in any catalogue you have.
(after the general Belgian listings)

Belgium Railway Parcel stamp. Kind of a cinderella to some but in Scott at the back of the book listings as type Q... numbers. Train people like them. I don't have a catalogue for Belgium yet.

One of these mint ($41.00 asking) on ebay now
http://cgi.ebay.com/Belgium-Railway...em483a3ad841

They say 1949 Belgium Scott Q325, COB (Catalogue of Belgium?) CF320.

Thank you Puzzler and Rod! I see it in my 1982 catalog, only 15c, though still a keeper. Unfortunately, knowing how my mind works, I will now be struggling for the next ten years trying to complete the set.

Edit--anyone care to relieve me of that burden?

I am trying to limit myself to those with hexagon cancels, the older types of these. Thanks though.

Hmm -- can't even give it away? -- The cancel is a hexagon though -- just not symmetric.

It js isn't it? I hadn't thought of that before now. I was concentrating on the regular hexagons. I have purchased a few mixed packets of these Belgium railway stamps and have not sat down to sirt them out. I;'ll take it if you want to send it and may I send you anything in return? Darn, did not notice if you were 50 posts or not to email me. I am puzzler47 on ebay if you have to .
