The "Fireball," originally designed by Peter Milne in 1962, is a one-design high-performance sailing dinghy, sailed by a crew of two, and sporting a single trapeze, symmetric spinnaker and chined hull. Here is an image of a stamp depicting a Fireball dinghy, designed by British architect Jack Fallas, engraved and printed by the Note Printing Branch, Reserve Bank of Australia, and issued on June 25, 1969 as one of a set of three stamps publicizing the 3rd South Pacific Games, held in Port Moresby, Scott No. 284, plus a YouTube link to an exciting video of the 7th race of the 50th Fireball National Championships. Sailboats on Upper Sûre Lake, a reservoir on the upper Sauer river in northwestern Luxembourg, designed and engraved by French artist Pierre Béquet (1932-2012), and issued by Luxembourg on September 13, 1971, Scott No. 503.
Sailing yachts, a semi-postal (charity) stamp designed by Boguslaw Brandt (1909-1983), engraved by Marian Romuald Polak, and issued by Poland on June 28, 1952 as one of a set of two stamps commemorating Shipyard Worker's Day, Scott No. B77.
