Here is the 2 1/2 d value (Sc #156) from Gambia's 1953 set of 15 QE II pictorial definitives. A crowded Barra canoe/sailboat is depicted on the stamp.

Three stylized sailboats are shown on this January 10, 1974 stamp (Facit #746) of Finland commemorating the centenary of the town of Hango.

The minisheet depicts the 11th round-the-world Volvo Ocean Race which ended with an in-port race in Galway, Ireland.

On May 6, 1998 Ireland released two, two-stamp sets of its EUROPA issue, one with water-soluble and the other with self-adhesive gum. The theme for these stamps is festivals. One of the two designs depicts sailboats at the Cruinniu na mBad Festival at Kinvara. The regatta has been a three-day, annual event since 1979 and features up to 100 Galway Hookers sailboats.

On May 27, 1986 Denmark issued this 2.80 kr stamp (Facit #894) depicting sailboats in the Limfjord Channel at the city of Aalborg.

The stamp appears to be intricately engraved. However, the stamp's engraver, Arne Kuehlmann, understood that it wasn't necessary to do this in order to make it appear to be so, to the naked eye. The close up pic shows an area approximately 9 mm x 10.5 mm in size.

This January 16, 1943 pictorial cancellation of Poertschach am Woerthersee, Austria features two sailboats on Lake Woerther. At this time (1938-45) Austria was occupied and part of the German Reich.

Here is another sailboat pictorial cancel. This one is on a picture postcard showing a panoramic view of Riga, Latvia. The postmark commemorates the starting day of the Grand Regatta Columbus '92 in Cadiz, Spain.

The second pic is of the cachet from a Latvian commemorative cover for the same event. It shows the route of the trip, including Riga.

On April 10, 2004 Lithuania issued a set of two, 1.70 litas, vacation-themed EUROPA stamps. One of these stamps (Sc #766) features a sailboat at dusk.

Here is the January 19, 1994, $1 stamp (SG #1783) issued by New Zealand to commemorate the victory of NZ Endeavour in a 1993-4 global circumnavigation yacht race. The round stamp is 33 mm in diameter, perf tip to perf tip.

This 5 pf, November 28, 1938 stamp (Mi #284) of Danzig is from a set of "Winter Charity" stamps with a nautical theme. Stamp depicts the sailing yacht Peter of Danzig.

Here is the 2 1/2 p value (Sc #136) from Gibraltar's October 19, 1953 QEII pictorial definitive set of 14.

On August 1, 1955 Cyprus issued a set of QEII pictorial definitive stamps denominated in the new mils and pounds currency. The 30 mils value (Sc #175) of this set, shown here, depicts sailboats in Kyrenia harbor.
