OK, great, glad you enjoy them too.

Now for a sad story. These looked good until I took them out of the ancient glassine. They're gummed, hinged, and stuck together.

What do you think, soak 'em? Stamplift?

Thanks

For me it's clear: I'll soak them!
Gum doesn't add anyhing to cinderellas, just the opposite: it's a cancer that might ruin them. I do actively collect cinderellas and I prefer them ungummed.

You might try stamplift if you have it handy, and then I'd go right to soaking.

Cinderellas are not new to me but the idea of soaking gum off them because they are cinderellas is. I have some cinderellas with original gum and of course those that do not have gum at all. Why does gum detract from a cinderalla?? Was it because they 'might' be on different paper, or maybe because of the type of gum that was used. I was always under the impression that the papers and gums were the same for both regular postage issues and for cinderellas?

I have some issued by the large and well known Bank Note companies that have the 'gum Arabic' and they seem to be the same as regular issued stamps. Just curious really.
