I understand these to be Korean(?) lithograph(?) stamps.

What can you tell me about them?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim

All your stamps are from North Korea. I am not sure but the first scan, which may be up-side-down (?), looks like Scott #34 with a CV of $25.00 mint. You have to be careful that they are not reprints though because they are greatly reduced in value.

The soldier & flag stamp is Scott #28 and has a CV of $3.00 mint. (2009 Scott editions prices)

Hope this helps

thanks, Chimo...I cant seem to upload the first image right side up.

I had several sheets of green NK issues that I sold for $3/stamp as whole sheets about a year ago. The gentleman that bought them confirmed all the sheets are authentic.

The Scott #34 I can find on line is the 3 Cheon.

I cant find an image of Scott #28, but the description (man/flag) matches.

Are the prices you stated per stamp or per sheet?

What's the significance of the perf and imperf on the two sheets?

Thanks,
Jim

I think the US government got more to worry about than
a bunch of 60 year old stamps.

The Korean litho stamp Scott 34 I see listed on line is not the same as the orange one I posted.

online at collect.at/korea-1901-3-cheon-stamp-scott-34-fusan-cancellation-p-6840.html listed as scott 34 is a 3 Cheon stamp...this one

I see on the Penn Family website, the stamp I posted is labeled as
Order of the National Flag. 1 Won -- below

I'm bumping this thread because I'm still trying to find the Scott's number for the orange 1 Won.

Thanks,
Jim

I took them to a stamp dealer in Petaluma (Harmer-Schau) who took them to the recent stamp convention in Atlanta GA.

The Scott numbers are 22 (the orange 1 Won) and 28 (the red/white/blue soldier).

Five North Korean stamp experts at the convention determined they are original, particularly with the accompanying provenance, a cover mailed August 8, 1951.

If you know of any interest in buying these, let me know. I have 6 (100x) sheets of the Scott 22 and 9 sheets (100x) of the Scott 28.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim
