I'm looking for a stamp with an igloo on it for a Social Studies worksheet I'm designing. I haven't had any luck find one so far.

Can anyone help me out?!

Thank you so much.

spanishmoss - Hmm. Here is an image of a stamp with igloos in the background that immediately came to mind:

Arnarulunnguaq (1896-1933), assistant to polar explorer and anthropologist Knud Rasmussen (1879-1933), designed by Jens Rosing, engraved by Arne Kühlmann, and issued by Greenland on September 5, 1996, Scott No. , Facit No. 293.

- nethryk

Canada 835 and 836 depict native Inuit housing for summer and winter, one of which (winter) is described as "igloo"

It may not be the iconic appearance you were going for...if this one is useful to you, Canada's postal service may have a bigger scan on their website. #836

There is also this Japanese stamp from Kamakura Prefecture, but again, not exactly an iconic image:

You people are fantastic! Thanks so very much.

When I get the worksheet done, I'll share.
It's going to be on houses from around the world.

Many, many thanks!

Aimee

And for those who want to learn how to build an igloo, here's an old classic from the National Film Board of Canada, "How to Build an Igloo".
