just thought I would share an achieved goal for me. uploaded some more images to my gallery, and finally broke the 1000 mark. that may not seem like a lot of stamps, but it is a big step for me. actually, I still have probably another 100 or so to add, just need to take the time to scan them. am hoping to be totally caught up by the end of the year, and will start next year on track, and adding everything as it comes in. (by the way, I only collect stamps from Yugoslavia, so it's a pretty narrow field.) anyone interested, here is my gallery: http://www.yugostamps.info/cpg/

Nice display Kuhli. I bet it took some time putting that together. But, isn't that the fun of it! Thanks for sharing the link. |

I enjoyed looking at your collection! You have probably said it somewhere else in the forum, but what got you interested in collecting Yugoslavia? |

Quote: but what got you interested in collecting Yugoslavia? short answer, diabetes. long answer, I gave up stamp collecting as a kid. as an adult, I got into coin collecting, and went crazy buying everything from everywhere. I had thousands of coins from all over the world, and was buying more on a daily basis. then, out of the blue, I ended up in the hospital, near death, diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. some major changes were needed in my life and lifestyle, which included my coin collection. as I sat at my desk pondering what I wanted to do, I noticed an unopened package of coins sitting there, which were a few Yugoslavian coins needed to fill some holes. as I put them into their proper album, the first time I had touched my coins in a couple weeks, I just mysteriously bonded with those Yugoslavian coins. over the next couple years I liquidated everything else, but kept the Yugoslavian collection, and continued to build on it. once I hit the point that I had ALL of the circulation issues, and the commemorative stuff I needed really wasn't within my budget, I expanded into banknotes, and finally into stamps. and here I am. |
