I wouldn't do it. Just the third one is an edible mushroom. The other two, are deadly poisonous...

Since Metasequoia glyptostroboides was mentioned early in this excellent thread ... would it be inappropriate to post a picture of clifhiker in front of one? Tree(s) can be found in the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis ... right across from a bust of Carl Linne! Pic was taken last summer ...

Nethryk: thanks for the "clubmoss" posts. This is the first time I've seen these primitive, non-vascular plants on stamps and extremely well-done too. Model train enthusiasts use various members of the genus to represent trees in their "scale-downs".

cynical - You're welcome. I would agree that Georges Bétemps did a marvelous job on both of those stamps. Thanks for your interesting observation about model railroading, too.
