I agree, terrific cards, Luciano. I've got a couple of Canadian and British Military cancels, and am nursing a growing interest in them. I see the name Mussolini, and I think I detect the year 42 on the postmark. Am I correct in assuming these are second world war?
Yes. Sent from a soldier in No 2 Company of the 29th Infantry Regiment. I await correction from an Italian expert but the slogan from the Department of Propaganda seems to read: Without grease the guns won't fire. One third of the weight of each explosive charge is made up of grease. A case of - Guns will make us powerful but butter will make us fire??
