cataloging stamps I bought over 30 years ago I found this one which contains a variety listed in unitrade but not supplied a value.

shows position dot lower left corner. Balloon flaw dot at bottom near peak of A of cancellation. It is a tall stamp that shows a small part of the bottom imprint therefore uniquely identifying its pane position.

I would like to know more information on the in this variety.

thanks

My best answer to your quiry would be to access the following url:

http://www.re-entries.com/listings.html

This has a lot of inforation on the re-entries for most Canadian stamps issued.

Ok this is a first for me on large queens. I know about and have the 12.3 cent large queen with balloon dot variety but did not realize it was also on the 15 cent. The flaw as I was explained before was due to the lower left position dot being worn so I don't understand how the same named flaw can be in the middle of the stamp as you state near the A in the cancelation. However there is a definite dot in that position but if same meaning as on 12.5 cent the balloon would be set of 3 dots looking like a small grouping of balloons. On the 12/5 I believe the value is in the $1200 range. I don't hane newer unitrade as yet.
Back to yours-- the WA Imprint is from Ottawa and I seldomly see many large queens with imprint edge, secondly you state watermark visible - What are you refering to or seeing as watermark? Lastly that is a great stamp in all regards and hopefully you have more classics to show.

If your still with us could you provide a scan of the back of this stamp. If in fact watermarked I'd like to try and see it with some photoshop magic.

The new unitrade does not put a value in this but does list this variety. The only value I found was a auction listing for $250 used nicely centered with light cancellation. There probably is no watermark on this. I thought I saw something by looking at a light but looking at the dates etc. there probably isn't a watermark.

I need that new unitrade catalog- I'm still using a 2007 . Not 100% sure but I believe some of the 15 centers were done on bothwell paper which was watermarked. Problem is the watermark was words and stamps could have as much as a full letter to as little as a partial . If the new unitrade still has the pic for the 12.5cent balloon dot flaw it should be same or simular for this one. Great post and good job on the pics so please keep showing and telling.
