I rarely ask for help, I'm usually helping others. But I'm trying to date some issues of China Commercials.
Need to cross-reference Stanley Gibbons #'s with Scott. China SG #'s 109-13, 115, 122-3, 125, 126-8, 151-2, 154, 156, 193, 195, 197, 199, 216, 218-9, 221.
Thanks for your help!
Mike

Thanks Zhang Cheng, I'm working on China Stamp issuing entities. These commercial issues I've found listed were not dated but stated which SG #'s could be found with the overprint! I'm currently at 1368 entities so far. What I'm missing if you have info, is the Revolution of 1911/2 overprints? There are supposed to be onwards of 60 different locations. Also the "Soviet" overprints in 1953 that a number of local post offices issued but not approved by he Central Government.
Thanks Again, Mike |

WOW, that is far far beyond my knowledge. Do you research alone or in a team? If you have got some information in your hand is in Chinese language, I can do the weak translation work. (No, I will not plagiarize your achievement, what can I help so far is only weak translation in such specialistic field.)Sorry. ZhangCheng |

Quote: I cannot recall anyone with an SG China Specialised here on SCF. Intrepid Catalogue Collector Ryan here, with SG Part 17 China in hand (2006 edition). I hadn't realized that the SG Stamps Of The World was so poor for these listings - SOTW doesn't distinguish among the watermark / non-watermark varieties, nor does it tell you which overprint is which, so even for the numbers you can find in SOTW, you don't necessarily know which Scott number they'll have. SG Part 17 lists some extra colour shades for these issues which aren't found in Scott. SG # = Scott # 109 = 99 110 = 100 111 = 101 112 = 102 113 = 103 115 = 105 122 = 111 123 = 112 125 = 114 126 = 115 127 = 116 128 = 117 151 = 124 152 = 125 154 = 127 156 = 129 193 = 147 195 = 149 197 = 151 199 = 153 216 = 161 218 = 163 219 = 164 221 = 166 Ryan |
