I want to know if there is a place to go to identify old cancels. This is one in particular I am interested in. The Telephone a sound investment. Cool

Does yours have a stylized triangle at each side?

I'm mostly interested in the KGV era, and there are at least ten different telephone slogans used during his reign, but I haven't really paid much attention to them.

If this is something you really want to sink your teeth into, then you might try to find an old copy of Slogan Postmarks of the United Kingdom by Parsons and Pearson. (I've never tried to find a copy, so I don't know if it is easy or impossible.) Otherwise, maybe someone will have a web resource...
