This was the main reason I bought a mixed lot of older Canuck material . Any ideas where the cancel is from? I've seen alot of different cancels but a full drive in the country scene picket fence included is different.
With the lines top an bottom this almost looks like some form of precancel rather than just a stmped cancel. Probably a new member 3 months from now will pop up and say what its from-- One of the reason this board is so great is always fresh eyes.
Here's a small clip showing this slogan cancel. From a quick Google search, I see that the English version was used in 7 major cities, and there was a bilingual version also used in 2 cities.
And if you really like the cancel, here's an ebay lot with 51 covers, all of them containing that cancel!
Thanks Ryan - Again SCF comes through in less than 24 hrs. Now that I see the whole slogan I think the attraction was the placement on the stamp. Sort of cropped sock on nose situation!
