Just to show them off, a couple of new additions won at this past weekends estate auction. MH 1897 1c jubilee MH 1922 10c blue KGV admiral George has a bit of staining, but the centering is nice, I think.

Very Nice acquisition James. They are very nice centered and colour crisp. Too bad the other ones was sold very to high for what they were worth. |

Nice work at the auction James. Looks like you have a very interesting assortment -- Like the augusta on augusta on augusta set as well. |

I only have a few low values of the jubilee set but they sure are nice stamps. The admiral set is my favorite. Beautiful engraving! |

Nice crisp color. Centering very nice. If you don't mind, what estate auction did you attend? |

Hi nodeli. I don't mind at all. It was in Kawartha, near Lindsay, in Southern Ontario. Quite a crowd. |

The only time I get up there is in the summer for a week of R & R on Rice Lake. Matter of fact, I brought up and sold some China stamps last summer to a local guy I met thru Kijiji. I do love your neck of the woods. Lot of memories on that Lake. |

nodeli My parents rented a cottage for years on Rice Lake. When I had kids of my own, we rented there too, until new owners...well, never mind. I don't want to talk about it! Great fishing there though. Not so great for swimming. And the snapping turtles, don't get me started! |

jamesw Have spent last 26 years bringing the wife & kids to Rice Lake, just down from Roseneath. I do remember one year someone caught a large snapper. The owners cooked it up for pot luck dinner, alas, no more turtle. |

nodeli, looks like we were at the same end of the lake. Probably waved to you from the boat at some point.
koala. Welcome. Ended up paying close to catalogue prices (Unitrade) for both. Sometimes, at a brick and mortar auction you just get caught up in the moment. Still happy with the outcome. |
