The geometric design found on the cover (both inside and outside) of the $1.80 Year of the Dragon booklet is comprised of overlapping Maple Leafs.

The same design has been used on previously issued postal cards:

Illustrated here is the Winnipeg Jets postal card from last year and the just released Jubilee postal card (Jan 16/12) which is only available from the "Volume 1 Keepsake".

Nice side-vy-side compare studystamps. Have you checked the tagging perchance? I haven't. edit: just did and they have the same tagging also, three sides tagged with top open with no tagging.

Ah, I had thought I had seen that design somewhere before. My fantasy about dragon wings didn't pan out. Oh well. Maybe on next years transitional souvenir sheet!

And on the two Year of the Dragon postcards as well. Just got these today.
Exposure darkened a bit to make the geometric design easier to see.

One bar tagging on the right hand side on both.

Who would have thought that the good old Maple Leaf had dragon wings hidden inside it!

This is a photo of the bottom part (with stamp) of the regular souvenir sheet showing how the embossing of the dragon and the gold foil added on makes the dragon really stand out in real life.
