China Three Gorges Project August 20, 2003 Set of three, one stamp depicts the Three Gorges Dam, a gravity dam that spans the Yangtze River near, Yichang, Hubei province. The 181 m high, 2335 m long dam was completed in 2003. Its power station has an installed capacity of 22500 MW.
Republic of China Shihmen Reservoir June 14, 1964 Shihmen Dam is a rock fill dam across the Dahan River in northern Taiwan. It provides irrigation, flood control, hydroelectricity,and domestic water supply in Taoyuan and adjacent areas. The two stamps depict the reservoir and the main spillway.
Republic of China Techi Reservoir December 17, 1975 Techi Dam is a concrete thin arch dam on the Dajia River in Taichung. At 180 m, it is the highest dam in Taiwan and one of the tallest dams in the world. Its power station has an installed capacity of 234 MW.
Iraq 2025 Landmarks Mosul Dam is located on the Tigris river in the governorate of Nineveh in northern Iraq. The embankment, earth fill dam serves to generate hydroelectricity and provide water for downstream irrigation.
