Lady Di.. If memory serves me correct, Franco Bollo on imperforate stamps are for use in Sardinia.

Yes, Sardinia (unfortunately a minefield,a lot of contemporary and modern forgeries). 1855/63, Mi. nr 13 (40 c red) and Mi.#10.

The 40c Sardinia was later used as one of the first stamps of the kingdom of Italy perforated (SG #3).

I have this one but no idea if it is genuine or a re-perfed Sardinia

Same with the 10c SG#1 which given has a cat. price of £10k is likely a fake. They are good embossed items nontheless
