I've had these for quite awhile now but I can't seem to identify them. My Scott's 2008 doesn't seem to have them. Are these cut from Austrian Postal Stationary? In blue letters diagnally it says "Silbergroschen Post-Couvert". Any ideas?

Based on the arms I believe these are cut-outs from Hanover postal stationery.

This was the flag of the Kingdom of Hanover:

Yes, it`s Braunschweig (Brunswick), and are cut from Postal Stationeries. Stamp is similar, only that value appears in both sides (number in little circles). Here`s a link, both post.stat.& stamp:

Those are cut from envelopes of the Germans state of Braunschweig (Brunswick).

Could be cut from Michel U1-U3 or U4-U6 (or some mixture thereof), depending on the gum from the envelope flap and exact shade of the blue overprint. If they were complete envelopes, they would be worth a decent amount.

Here are a few examples from ebay.

Thanks for the corrections Wadmalatz and PostmasterGS.

I should have known this as I do have Section 2 of H&G and I've seen them before.

The Saxon horse emblem was used by a number of German states and families. This included the British Kings when they ruled both Hanover and Britain and the Dukes of Brunswick were from another branch of the same family.

Here for comparison is the flag of the Duchy of Brunswick:
