Great covers everyone.
It sure is amazing what one can find if they perservere.
I think I have one more DLO for sure and maybe two, but, will have to go through more boxes.
That Canadian "Officially Sealed" stamp is fantastic too Rod. I got one for my collection several years ago and what I like about it so much is the fine detailed engraving. This is also one of the main reasons I like a lot of the revenue stamps too.

Here is my contribution to the thread.. I have a bunch (small bunch) of these. Here are 3 of them. The first is the 3 cent collected fee affixed (precancels) Note the "triangle" on the envelope. This indicates that the contents are without value. The second scan is a larger cover... The 3rd scan is of another cover with a star affixed. This indicated that the contents had some value. There was a 3rd symbol on these envelopes which was a circle which indicated the contents had no inherent value. Don't have one of those yet. That's all folks.. |

Quote: Rod, it's 'DLO' - just a poor impression
Nah! If that's "DLO" I'll run naked down Collins Street on saturday Morning. Time to fix the bifocals Tony. |

Better nude than in lycra, Young Rodney Have a look at the wording on the label attached to the front: 'From the Dead Letter Office/NAGPUR' and the Form No. 'DLO10'. You will give me plenty of notice before your run, won't you? So I can evacuate safely to Darwin or Townsville |

I'm sticking to my guns Tony, sure, I see the dead letter office stationery but the rubber stamp says RLO and I'd take a guess it's Returned Letter Office. I'll be in Lycra tommorrow for 5 hours, I am attempting my f1rst 100Km bike ride, heading out at 5am. I did 70Km last week, so reasonably confident |

And where did this come from, Young Rodney? Was it Nagpur - or somewhere else? |
