Can anyone in the forum tell me why this "Inspected Baggae" stamp from the Customs Service would be applied to a cover. Larger items I can understand, but not on a cover. I can also understand customs because it was sent from Canada to the U.S. but because it is on a cover, it is confusing me - some times not too hard to do

One can only think it might be fabricated ? Postage Stamp is missing and there is nothing that ties the baggage piece to the cover. Also it appears as if the Cover never left Ontario ? Where did it originate from ? Toronto ?

Yes, it did originate from Toronto

To be honest, I wasn't sure if this was a fabricated cover or not. I didn't pay big bucks for it because it was in a small group of covers that I got cheap anyway. A curiosity to say the least <G>
