It's the weekend, so I'll be posting my usual search for answers from the experts. Are these real stamps ? I wonder if Eric Bloodaxe was a real person - Viking??
Thanks for any info on these!
Donna

They are classed as Cinderella stamps.

From Lundy, an island off Great Britain somewhere (not too knowledgeable about it) Change title to include the word Lundy and you will get the people who know the most.

Eric Blood-axe was a real Viking, well known to people of Great Britain.

I hadn't heard of him except early in the day I ran across someone called the same name on ebay selling stamps! I thought at the time that it was rather a blood thirsty name to call yourself if you wanted people to send you their money.

To change your title just edit the first post. Edit icon is above your post, looks like a paper and pencil.

WT1 has the answer.

Thanks to both of you for the info. (I think I could find a better name than Bloodaxe for my ebay handle - kinda creepy, unless of course, he's a blood relative of Eric).

Lundy Island is popular among cinderella collectors and I think one of the best known areas.

Here is a cover from my collection with Lundy Island stamps. I have scanned both the front and back of the cover.

P.S. - No, I did not pay $15.00 for this cover <G>
