It has been a while since I last ordered kiloware; I guess I have gotten pickier as the years roll by. I don't have as much time on my hands, so I am less prone to ordering large batches of stamps from "common" countries.

Today I came across someone selling kiloware from Pakistan-- they only had ONE lot of 200 grams (that's about 7oz) so I snapped it up, since I have never done a Pakistan mix before.

Now I wait, while it's coming in from Germany!

Hope you find some great stuff in your newly purchased lot scanstamps. Isn't the wait always the hardest thing.

I haven't purchased kiloware in a while now. I have soooo much stuff to go through I decided I had better not get any lots for a while. I did love going through them. Oh crap, I'm getting the bug again, I'd better move on to another topic

Dianne, yes... the wait is awfully hard. Especially when the items have to come in from overseas, as most kiloware I buy here in the US seems to...

Fortunately, I have LOTS of other stamp-things keep me busy, in the meantime!

I'll come back here and post some of the "results," after the mix arrives. I think it's cool if people try to "review" the things they buy, to give others an impression of what's out there, and what to expect.

Best,
Peter

Woo-hoo! The mixture arrived in today's mail!

As expected, it was a little "rough around the edges," as is often the case with kiloware from developing nations. Large thin brown paper, many pieces with multiple stamps in blocks. Very wide range of dates-- this was NOT "recent" material, only. A quick look showed items going back to the early 1960's. That's OK with me-- at least in this case-- as I have very few stamps from Pakistan, period. Some heavy duplication on the 1994 and 1998 definitive sets. Also quite a large number of common official stamps. There will probably be a fair number of faulty... but hard to tell until I get more into it.

Here's a picture of what I got:

Will post more later!

Looking at the lot you purchased, it is a very good mix
You would normally get a lot of small very common stamps
