So, my world collection was in a Kenmore World Album for comms. and pics.

I don't like the album, never really have. But I don't want to start all over and buy albums for country collections I will probably never complete.

Should I just use stock pages and stock books?

I'm in a similar (but further along) place.

I'm moving from a Harris Liberty. Personally, since I'm only doing US Mint and Used (two albums) I'm using Scott Minuteman (for Mints) and home made (for used). For WW, I'm still using my trusty 1980 Harris Sr Statesman (expanded to 2 volumes years ago).

For the home made album I'm using pages from Philosateleia (http://www.philosateleia.com/album/), which are free to download.

Now, others seem to like Steiner pages, which are available from subscription (US$30/year) from http://www.stampalbums.com. He seems to have several sample downloads so you can try for free. Good news is that you can simply print the pages you need, as you need them!

I'm a "fill the holes" collector, so don't use stock pages or stock albums....

Just endure,
try differing routes, keep new possessions in stockbooks
and try and centre on one country in a preferred regime.
The answer will come.

I have gained a lot of pleasure out of building my own album pages. The research involved in getting them set up has brought me much more understanding of my collection.

Have you thought about having children. It solves many issues with collecting. I took my original albums and handed them over to the children then got a spanking new hinge-less for me. Of course all the while explaining to the wife but honey it's for the kids. In my case I purchase US in bulk and pick the best for my album and the off center ones head for the kids. Only draw back I have now found is no matter what you have to buy you now have to multiply by the number of kids.

Joking aside, the advice for Stiener album pages would be very cost effective. Print what you need and then low cost binders.
