So, I am thinking about cutting off my Mystic Heirloom collection at 1999 and using Steiner pages for everything from 2000 on.

Well, if I do that, I am going to lose the stamp descriptions which I like so much.

So, I decided to see if I could add descriptions to the Steiner pages.

I went with 2009, since the pages are free on Steiner's site, and the 2009 stamps are still up on beyondtheperf, so it was easy for me to get descriptions.

Steiner's 2009 album pages can be found here: http://www.stampalbums.com/pages/un...ates2009.pdf

The descriptions pages can be found here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2301411/200...riptions.pdf

The descriptions pages should be printed on the BACK of the 2009 supplement pages. The first page should be printed on the BACK of the last 2008 page, so the description sits to the left of the page you're looking at.

I'd like some feedback from people before I go making more of these.

Andy

Seems nice enough, but it also seems like a lot of work for just the descriptions. If it pleases you, though, that's all that's important.

(By the way, you misspelled "Hanukkah" on page 7.)

Yeah, it pleases me. :-)

It's one of the reasons I won't get a Scott National, even though I love the binders and the pages.

I put all of my mystic and Steiner pages in archive plastic sleeves - so then you can just print the text on a separate page of the same paper and slip it in the sleeve behind the previous album page and you get the text side by side with the album page - just like Mystic. You can do the pages as you have time and avoid the printing on the back of the page which I always mess up. Plus you can change them or add to them later which you could not do if stamps were already on the page. I even snip notes from Mystic catalogs and put them on the facing page if it describes the stamps well or is an interesting anecdote. Try it - you'll like it!

That's a really good idea. I think I might do that!

So, I just checked Amos's web site, and the 2000 Stamp Yearbook is only $8.95 + shipping. I wonder if it's really worth my trouble, or if I should just buy the yearbooks and keep them next to the album.

That now seems the path of least resistance...

I really need to spend less time designing crap and way more time mounting stamps!
