I am having trouble with this stamp.
Research so far - I believe the stamps is, "For the care of our veterens", and the motto translates, "Einheit, Frieden, Solidaritat"="Unity, Peace, Solidarity". This is the motto of an East German organsisation called the Volkssolidaritat - Peoples' Solidarity - a social welfare organisation. I found this document relating to the organisation's 65th Anniversary in 1990.
http://www.volkssolidaritaet.de/cms...te_engine=id The symbol on the stamp fits.
I can't find it in Michel, which means its either not there or I'm looking in the wrong place.
I did find a semipostal for the Volkssolidaritat issued in the Soviet Zone in 1946 (Michel 138-149), but this isn't it.

Can anyone help me out please??

Edit - Thankyou Postmaster GS, title updated

It's a cinderella, so it won't be listed in Michel.

Here's a good site for Spendenmarken (fee stamps, contribution stamps, and donation stamps) of the DDR.

To find this stamp in their database:

Since this was to benefit a veteran's support organization, go to "Sozial- und Hilfsverbände" (social and support groups); then "Volkssolidarität"; then "Zentrale Spendenmarken", then "1945-1959". It's from 1952.
