I also have dealt with Arpin and they are very good to deal with. I am not french so the language barrier some times was a problem. |

Hello Stampguy and welcome!
The internet is your friend for finding stamps, and as you can see, people in here can vouch or warn you about the different dealers.
Cheers,
Blade |

Others might correct me, but the top 3 sites seem to be ebay, BidStart and Delcampe ... and someone on here introduced me to Stamps2Go, which has been interesting and relatively positive site. It might depend on what you are looking for. |

Welcome stampguy, Any time you need answers, someone on this site will help you out. Great site for picking the brains of well informed stamp enthusiasts. Myself,(not of the well informed) I have mostly picked up items off ebay with no problem. I think for dealers online, most would be aces to deal with. But, as Blade mentioned earlier, the bad ones will show their baggage by the negative comments that will proceed them. |

I purchase all of my albums, mounts, and catalogues from Arpin, and have never had an issue with them. There was some damage to a binder once, and they replaced it within days. Very reputable company from what I have seen. ebay is great, but unless you can verify the buyer with someone, you never really know what you are getting. (especially with all the feedback faking that has been going on). If you can find a good ebay seller or two that you trust, stick with them as much as possible. I have used Boscastle a few times, they are quite good. They also have an online store like Arpin, but you can get better prices if you bid on their ebay items. |

Weeda Stamps is a very well-run on-line auction, with excellent assessments of each lot. You'll pay more than ebay, but their stamp grading is far more accurate - less "optimistic" - than many ebay listings. |
