Just joined yesterday and really impressed with all the great responses and advice..thanks so much everyone!

I have more questions than answers it seems at this time...

Just reviewing some of my 70's collection and when I take a closer look at the 14cent capex 754 I see an error just above the "O" in "postage" with extra ink crossing over the line...similiar I guess to the type of error on the 12cent capex 753ii..I don't see the 754 error listed in Unitrade, has anyone come across this before? image below scanned on my not-so-great scanner, sorry.
Thanks again

Welcome to the forum Stampguy

Regarding your scan, I think that it is a pretty good chance that it is just a 'fly-speck' variety and not a constant one. There could have been a foreign object on the plate at the time of printing and the next transfer removed it. This is just a guess but, with a lot of Canadian, and other countries stamps, this happens a lot.
