The Young Pioneer Organization of the Soviet Union was a mass youth organization for children ages 10 to 15. Here are images of two stamps depicting Young Pioneers, designed by Soviet poster artist Leonid Golvanov (1904-1980), printed by lithogravure, and issued by Russia (USSR) on May 29, 1958, Scott Nos. 2068 & 2069, Zagorski Nos. 2066 & 2067.

Here is an image of a semi-postal stamp depicting two children playing with a ball in an illuminated courtyard, designed by the late Danish writer and illustrator Ib Spang Olsen (1921-2012), engraved by Czeslaw Slania, and issued by Denmark on February 5, 1981 to benefit the Children's Offices, Scott No. B60, Facit No. 747.

Rana Devi Singh, ruler of Barwani State in India, aged around 7



and as he appeared on his revenue stamps



(Although this is a postage stamp, the plate used was intended for revenue stamps, which were printed in red.)

Printed letterpress by the Times of India Press, Bombay, between 1932 and 1948. Devi Singh acceded to the throne as a minor in 1930, and was barely old enough to sign the deed of accession of his State to the newly independent India as an adult in 1948.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting young hikers and a hostel, designed by Adalbert Pilch, engraved by Rudolf Toth, and issued by Austria on May 20, 1960 to publicize the Youth Hostels Movement, Scott No. 652, SG No. 615.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a seated adolescent and the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen, a Roman Catholic Gothic cathedral in Rouen, designed and engraved by Claude Andréotto, and issued by France on April 27, 1976 to publicize JUVAROUEN 76, the World Philatelic Exhibition of Youth, Scott No. 1876, Y&T No. 1876. Note: This stamp was awarded the prestigious Grand Prix de l'Art Philatélique in 1976.

"The Red Boy" by Sir Thomas Lawrence PRA FRS (13 April 1769- 7 January 1830) was a leading portrait painter in England and president of the Royal Academy. The painting known as "The Red Boy",was actually titled "Master Lambton", was commissioned in 1825 by Lord Lambton ,1st Earl of Durham , as a portrait of his eldest son Charles William, who died of Tuberculosis in 1831 at the age of 14.

Young Shah Ahmed who ascended the Peacock Throne at age 11 in 1909.



He was overthrown in 1925 and died in exile in 1930 at age 32.
