I read in another post that it's possible to use glue stick for stamps. Could I cut small hinge-shape pieces of greaseproof kitchen paper and smear glue-stick on to make my own hinges? I can only find large bags of hinges in the philatelic section of the General Post Office and in this climate it's not long before they are stuck together - hard as a rock. Being able to make my own sounds great but is it feasible?

hey mumut sounds like a very messy solution - a work around for your humidity problems for hinges might be to store them in the fridge - there was mention on another thread on the Fourm as this being a solution for a similar problem

Most of the post on glue sticks involve using glue stick to glue stamp mounts to pages, not the stamps themselves.
