It's nice to be appreciated! I can't wait till it's all done.

Bohdan Hrynyshyn gave me permission to use the text and images from his site to design provisional pages for 1991-92. So, that'll be a project to add after I get everything done. I may get to it sooner, since I have images and text.

Two quick notes:

1. There will be a change to the 2007 pages. Someone emailed me the correct dimensions for the Pelicans miniature sheet and I was off. If you've already printed the supplement, you'll just need to reprint that one page, or just mount the stamp on your existing page. It will just hide the border.

2. The editor for the Trident-Vysnyk newsletter contacted me (the newsletter for the Ukrainian Philatelic and Numismatic Society), and asked for a blurb and some screen shots of my pages for inclusion in their newletter. Pretty cool.

So, now I have hit a problem I need to fix. I just found out while finishing up 2008 that the "Traditional Costumes" mini sheet of six stamps was also issued as individual setenants. Each has a unique perf, making for two different varieties.

Here's an example:

Sheet of se-tenants:

Mini-sheet:

And, of course, this goes back to the very first traditional costumes issue. Since the mini-sheet and regular sheet stamps have different perfs, they're different varieries that need to be accounted for.

There are two ways I can go with this, and I wanted people's opinion.

The first option is to stick them all on one page:

The second options is to use two separate pages:

What does everyone think is the better option?

Everything on one page looks to crowded. A second description under the souvenir sheet is redundant.

Putting everything on one page makes it look like the setenants are from the mini sheet.

Both very valid points. If I just add a page, I also have the advantage letting people keep using the page they have and just printing out one new page with no remounting.

Now to figure out the mess that is the 2008 definitive releases.

And 2008 is DONE.

A couple of notes:

  • US Letter and A4 available
  • Europa booklet stamp on another sheet for easy removal if you don't want to collect it (as usual)
  • Blank pages with the year on them for commemoratives and definitives
  • The traditional costumes stamps, I have learned, are available as a souvenir sheet AND as regular sheets of se-tenants. The souvenir sheet stamps are a different variety, since their perf is different. So this supplement has pages for the three se-tenant pairs as well as the souvenir sheet. I will be updating older supplements and re-posting them to correct this.
  • The Ukraine-Sweden stamp: The sheet contains 8 of the same stamps with a row of labels down the middle. Each label in the row is unique. So, you have a stamp on top, label, and another stamp on the bottom. Because each label is unique, I wanted to preserve the whole sheet.
  • The 2008 Definitives have multiple varieties, mostly from microprints from what I gather. I have all the definitives on one sheet, and types II, III, and IV on another sheet, so remove the sheet if your collecting habits are not that picky.

The 2008 pages look great. The Traditional Costumes pages were done very well.
The only minor issue I see is on page 6 "The Clocks" image is too dark.

Are the 2009 pages done yet.................Ha! Ha!

The clocks stamps themselves were really dark. When I converted to black and white that's what I got. If you'd like me lighten them up more, I can try,

It's not necessary because it gets covered anyway. It was just an observation.

The 2009 stamp volume is MUCH lower than previous years. So, my goal is to get 2009 done (with any luck by mid week sometimes), and then go back and clean up 2001-2007 for the traditional costumes series. Then short break to mount some stamps (isn't that what the hobby is all about?), and perhaps the 1991-1992 provisionals.
