Actually, trivial might be the better subject line. In the International album series (both the Browns and the Blues) Scott has included some "blank" pages for certain issues, such as the Indian Convention States or Italy Occupation stamps. I think at some point in the past I have come across a blurb from Scott where they gave this type of page an "official" name. It could have just been "blank" but the problem here is that the pages aren't really blank--they have headers and text descriptions of what belongs. So two questions:

1) Are there other Scott albums, e.g., the Green Speciality series or US albums such as the National, that have these type of pages?

2) Do you know what Scott calls this type of page?

Hi

My Scott's U.S. National album also has blank sheets. I don't know if they were included when the album was published or not because I got mine from a collection I bought quite a few years ago.

When I first saw the blank pages, I assumed the former owner bought them separately because they fit into the 'green' series of albums (?)

Just out of idle curiosity (all my stamps are in stockbooks), if there are blank pages for the Indian Convention States, what did Scott do about the Native States? Simply ignore them? No provision for my avatar?

I'm pleased to report that are indeed dedicated spaces for the Native States in both versions of the International, although the abbreviated Blue version, which is what Scott sells today, doesn't offer much coverage--only a few rows for each State. My memory is that the Green Specialty album for India does a much better job.

Thanks, 1840to1940. I suppose a few rows per State is better than ignoring the States completely.

On the other hand, I may be biased , but I think most of the States deserve their own separate volumes. The rest of the world could have a few rows each in a single volume ...
