You may be a stamp collector if-

You reach in your shirt pocket for a pen at the checkout counter and pull out a set of stamp tongs.

You go to the post office and buy a sheet of stamps but run back home to use up those 3 cent issues you have instead of breaking up the new sheet.

Your stamps bills are more than you mortgage.
You yell at the kids when they open letters wrong.
You tell your wife not to open letters with stamps on.
You try to convince your boss on the merits of stamps instead of his Bowes Stamp Meter.
Your only friends are on this forum.

"I have an Inverted Jenny"

I'm not sure how well that would work in a Single's Bar?

Thanks for the artwork, Mac.

When a new coin is released you wonder if there will be a special event postmark to honor the event. That way you have a new philatelic item to add to your collection.

For example, the newly released 2010 Lincoln One Cent officially released in my home town. The answer was yes, unfortunately all the PO's in town and surrounding areas sold out of all their Lincoln stamps and I ran out of my own supply. Now I have to order from The Cave.

You are a stamp collector if you fly from chicago to Dc first class twice ( once when you are not well) for the same show and spend $1000 on stamps ( not including other expenses) it also proves you are dumb but since we have already established I am smart ill skip that part :)

You know you really are a stamp collector when your wife calls you at the office to tell you she found a pair of stamp tongs in the clothes dryer.

It happened to me today !!
