You're really a stamp collector when you meet a dealer at the stamp show. Hesitate on some expensive stamps. Decide to go for lunch and have two pints of beer with your meal. Come back to the dealer a smile on your face and buy all the expensive stamps you hesitate on.  Daniel |

You know you're a stamp collector when you spend all day at work reading and looking up stamps - even if your job has nothing to do with stamps ! You know you're a stamp collector when you day dream about winning the lottery and all you can think about is what stamps you would get for that amount. You are right about that Modern_who! No way my newly acquired Victoria 2p imperf goes in my pocket. Funny (and truthful ones) Stampstudy and Stampgal. You know you are really a stamp collector when you buy a collection of 174 different used Panama stamps for $6.65, and you only wanted 6 of pictured items. And all 174 were pictured.  It did it yesterday... |

BeeSee, I have done that. Bought a used set of the 1938 Presidential issue because it had two of the dollar value and one was the red violet shade. It only cost me $8.50 to get that shade! |

you may be a stamp collector if.. you are standing for your prayers and instead of praying for health and wealth you silently wish that there would be a miracle and God could let you have that one stamp which you always wished for.(but could not afford)  |

You might be a collector of German Stamps if (you know of) / (are interested in) / (have heard of) Memel and Silesia.
You might be a collector of German Stamps if you refer to Gdansk as Danzig and still think of it as part of Germany. |
