Good luck with ebay, alas I feel your frustration will continue if you continue to use English on there. The site does not seem to understand it. It would be interesting to know how foreign language sellers get on; German for example.
I have a friend who puts all his feedback in Borsovian and to date ebay have never bothered to ask him about it, maybe they were big fans of Pippin too?

KGV,
Well then, it seems that if the word set is used another descriptive word of what kind of set it is has to be used also.

So
Set = Complete Set = Full Set = Long Set
Incomplete Set = Short Set

or, in other words, if you use the word Set then it had better be the complete set of whatever it is.

People seem to like sets of things. I noticed this years ago when learning what words to use on ebay that work best and that people search for, or at least, what words big sellers use, from their experience of selling a lot of stamps and what works best for them.

I think having the word set in your complete set listings and then also having some other listings that are not complete sets where you do not use the word set will work because people will come because of the word set and then look at your other listings also. Just remind them to or have a nice;y worded link in your description to take people to your other listings. That's friendly, and works.
