I
inherited these two small albums from my Grandmother. I believe the stamps were handed out in Sunday School, the better the attendance, the more stamps collected in the book.
The red one is from 1934-35. My Grandmother was 13. The book is almost full. The blue one is 1935-36. My Gransmother was 14, had left school and was already working. That probably explains why there are a lot more gaps in this one.
There's a couple of reminders on the first page,
"Every stamp says Duty done. every blank cries "Shame". "Any of us feel like that about our own collections?
