Not sure what the US stamp is, but it clean, fresh and a really nice early US stamp.

Try posting the US Benjamin Franklin stamp in the US stamps forum section for a better response on it perhaps.

It almost looks too nice to be real.

You have a lot of possibilities in properly identifying your mid-late 1800's U.S. perforated stamp. There are several variations and you need to narrow down to the most obvious one. Since this is a perforated stamp you now know this could have been printed some time between 1857-1875. The example you posted can be a possible Scott#, 18,19,19b,20,21,22,23,24,24b or 40.

The only way you can be 100% postive of what you have, is to have it expertize by a professional committee.

The most common issue for this stamp with 50 million printed would be Scott#24, Valued at about $150 USD. in Mint condition and VF centering.

I don't think the Franklin is a #24 as the side ornaments look pretty complete.
