Hi

This is not a philatelic theme, but a linguistic question.

My native language is spanish (I try to speak and write in english here) and I never understood well the difference between the words LIBERTY and FREEDOM.

Stamps with LIBERTY :

Stamps with FREEDOM :

Even Statue of Freedom and Statue of Liberty :

Under what circumstances is used one or another word ?

Thank you !
