Is It The Economy Or A Glut Of Stamps On The Net ??

Recent events have opened my eyes about buying stamps...i am going to be a lot more prudent in the future ! The fellow who buys box lots and breaks them down for our club auction says his sources are complaining they can not give stamps away...Thursday night one of our members..true he is a hi end collector and these items are worth nothing to him..brought in 25 country lots on Harris Pages and auctioned them off a one cent a stamp...i am not talking minimum value stamps here..British Omnibus sets..complete French and British New Hebrides sets....as I was helping the auctioneer I kept muttering aloud...where were these deals when I started out..paying 50 percent of catalog for the same stuff...so folks..spend what you like...but remember...it will be difficult to find anyone who wants your stamps when its time to unload...sorry if I sound negative...but my perception is my reality !
