Has anyone had experience with the Shaufix type of stamp mounts? I understand they are also marketed under the "Hawid" name.

Amos Advantage currently has the pre-cut 40/25 (horizontal US commemorative format) on sale for $0.49 per package of 20. That's 2.5 cents a mount! Seems like a good deal. They also have the same size strips on sale for $0.75 a 5-pack. (I'm ordering them along with other items, so shipping charges aren't an issue.)

Seems like a much better "sale" than the Prinz or Showgard mounts I had been using, which were much higher priced.

Is there much of a difference between these brands?

Shaufix mounts are rebranded in the US as Showguard mounts, just Prinz is rebranded as Scott.

See this web page on the Hawid web site:

Thanks. It sounds like they are all pretty close to each other in terms of quality. The low sale price of these things made me wonder, though. I guess I got a deal, as I just have to shop the "sales".

They're probably old stock. As long as they haven't "curled" and turned wavy, you should be OK. I have a problem with some of my old Showguard mounts from the 90s doing that.

I've used clear Hawid mounts for US vert and horiz commemoratives (40/25); bought them from a seller on Bidstart. No complaints.
