Hello stampcommunity.org,
i was looking very long time for Peru Sc.
No.1 in used grade. But there is only one single
and only one cover sold in more than 25 biggest
auction houses what I checked 30 years back in
their archives.

All stamps what I found are in museum, one in Peru
and 15 from Peyton Collection in Smithsonian#8217;s
National Postal Museum.

Only one what I found was sold my Harmers and it was
ex Consul Weinberger! Also Harmers wrote:
Extremely scarce cancelled. We have only been
able to document 15 used copies of the 1r of which
only 9 bear the numeral "6" cancel according to Moll.
Of the 6 used copies in the Either collection 3 had faults .

By Moll and Barrington-Brown there are less than 100
examples of used Peru No. 1 but I canīt find more that
16 not 100.

So where are they? Do you have some?

I checked catalogue, but price of them is only 10%
higher than mint, but mint Peru Sc.1 you can find
almost in every big stamp shop.

Please can you check your new catalogues,
I am interested in especialy new Scott 2013,
what is price for used and mint Peru Sc 1?
Because all sources see Sc 1 mint as scarce
but Sc 1 used as extremely rare, but Scott 2009:
for mint: 1250USD
foru used: 1450USD

I think if almost all Peru Sc 1 used are
in museums, price for this stamp is much underpriced.
