I know the article cites many nations where such programs have been successfully integrated into a profitable venture, but with the fragile state of the US Postal Service, even if they did implement banking services, I wonder just how many US citizens would respond favorably to it ... or would they be too nervous to put their money into an organization that is losing money faster that most of us can count?
