I find it difficult to distinguish early Greece ..any tips out there ?

1882 Scott 56 20 lepta pale rose on Cream paper, no Control Number on back

Some come in unique colors, such as the 20 l pale rose above.

The less expensive (and hence more common) 1880-82 5l green, 10 l orange, 20 l ultramarine, 30 l ultramarine, and 40 l lilac do not have control numbers on back, and are on cream colored paper. These are fairly easy to determine.

For all the issues, I did put together an evaluation scheme from the perspective of a non specialist in Hermes Heads.

Thank you .. a great help . Will do some study of your notes , my catalogue and my stamps and get back to let you know how I got on . Anyone out there got greece 1923 overprints for sale ?
