I have decided I need to get a new catalog for my Austrian collection. However, I don't know what one would be best! I think the choices are-
Stanley Gibbons, Michel, Netto, or Philex. Any thoughts?

Well, since Michel is the gold standard for Germany, and Austria is German- speaking, I would think the Michel would be the one.

According to Wikipedia, Netto is considered the authoritative source for Austrian collectibles:

The gold-standard for Austria is the Austria Netto Katalog (ANK). Michel's specialized is pretty thorough as well. If you need a source to buy from, let me know.

Does Netto use yet another unique numbering system?

Looks like it.

Michel. based on the Deutchland Specialized, can't be too shabby either.

If you go with Michel, be sure to get the Specialized. Finding one good variety is likely to be worth the extra cost.
