After WWI Germany lost all its colonies in Africa and Asia. In Germany were issued a series of mourning labels (cinderellas), with black frames, which reproduced the image of the Kaiser's yacht, similar to the stamps in currency before the war :  This is of Marianen Island, but also exist with Samoa, Marshall, etc. |

At the post office of Saipan,used postmark of 1899 with the 99 cut until the 12 of August of 1900 that arrived the daters 00  1/4/00 with 99 cutted  11/12/00 new 00 |

Frederick R. Mayer began collecting stamps in Dallas in 1934 at the age of six with his father. Over the years, he has amassed several collections from different countries or areas.His father was a diplomatic,and a philatelic lover. Frederick had the best collection of Spanish Marianas 1899,Until 2007, which sold the collection in an auction of the house SPINK (auction 7046)and this was dispersed forever.I have some of those stamps.How study,the page that show us,is the best to get a good sample! |
