Hit an auction today an hour away from my place. They advertised a 'large stamp collection'.
Turns out the table full of albums was from a storage locker. Only four of us were bidding on the piles. One album, certainly the best went for $500! I was out of that one early.
Did manage to get a few books as well as a couple of boxes of miscellaneous stuff.
What fun. But some people do get pretty serious at these things.
Needless to say my wife did not attend with me. But she was happy that she was able to pull $30 of viable Canadian postage out of one box. Makes up for what I spent, partly.
I'll post things as I find them. Looks mostly common but there are some interesting things.
Time to dig!
