Need some help in getting this ID'd. I'm confused--not unusual :)

My Scott's 2010 does not have this listed. It seems to be an A30 design 1 cent black (no such thing) and is carefully cut out from "postal stationary"--I think this is the correct term. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As you can see it is cancelled.

I would like to correctly ID this and find a value, even if only 20 cents!

Hi.

I think I found it in my Unitrade 2012: It is a cut square from a POST CARD, issue on 1897. The catalog number is UX16, 1 cent BLACK (It is a Back of Book item). A complete postcard would be valued at 0.75$ unused and 1.25$ used. As a cut square, it does not retain much value, I am afraid. Adding the fact that the the design is cut nearly all around, the value goes down further.

I am sorry but I think this is only good as a space filler.

Hi FrBobT

This is not a rare postal card and it can be obtained rather cheaply either in unused or used conditions.

I have several in my collection but with a variety of cancellations.

I have scanned one example from my collection.
