Hello everybody!

I intend to collect US and Great Britain used stamps. I don't think I will specialize to much, so the "one of each"/single stamp approach is my way.
I like to fill spaces, and want to use pre-printed albums. Problem is, in Brazil, where I live, it is difficult to purchase albuns like Mystic Heirloom or Minuteman - the cost of shipping is too high. So I was looking for a subscription on Stampalbums.com, and would print my own pages. But then I discovered the free pages of Philosateleia...

So I ask you, my friends: regarding US stamps, and considering my kind of generalistic collecting style (not worried about variations), which one to choose? What are the differences? Does Philosateleia pages contain at least one space for each stamp?

And for Great Britain, is there any free (and good) option like Philosateleia?

Thanks

Hi Artimise,

Try this link...

http://www.stampalbums.com/instructions.asp

Number six down on the country list is GB 1840 to 1952. Click on this for a free download of all the pages in PDF format. Any decent inkjet printer will print these.

Have fun,
Terry

Thanks Terry! In my previus post I made a mistake, I put "Stampboards" intestead of "Stampalbums" - already corrected it.

Anyway, for classics of Great Britain, stampalbums is a good option... any other site for free pages of modern stamps (single stamps)?

Artemise,

I use the Philosateleia pages and print on heavier stock paper for my USA collection. One thing I like about his pages is the way he groups stamps by theme. And welcome to the forum. Ray

The only thing I don't like about the Philosateleia albums is that he doesn't keep se-tenants connected unless they complete a picture or scene. But, you can't beat the price!

Well, I read all the threads about Mystic Heirloom, Minuteman, Steiner, Philosateleia...

Then I decided to order a Mystic Heirloom, even the shipping rate to Brazil being $70! But I really want the write-ups!

For Great Britain, I'll use the Steiner pages.

Now I can't wait to receive my albums!

I have always thought that every stamp collector in every country should have an airline pilot as a best buddy. If he/she's a REALLY good buddy, he/she can bring albums or kiloware or heavy books on board with his/her carry-on gear, then mail them at local rates when he/she arrives. Any "whoops" from Customs, "...Umm, it's a gift!"

This constitutes my PC for this year.

Just to let you all know: I received the Mystic albums and just LOVE them!

I'm having such a great time by now

And the Steiner pages for Great Britain are very satisfying too.
